Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 17 February 2026
Key Points (Quick Read)
-
We collect account information (like your email, display name, date of birth, timezone, and language) to create and secure your account and personalize the experience.
-
We do not store the text of your AI conversations on our servers. Messages are processed by a third-party AI provider to generate responses and are not retained by MomEaze afterward, except for limited temporary logs needed for reliability and security.
-
Messages are sent to a third-party AI provider for processing. Our providers are contractually obligated to delete your content after the safety-review window is closed. We do not control the provider’s internal compliance obligations. A link to the provider’s privacy policy is available in our App settings.
-
Wellness check-ins are for self-reflection only — they are not medical assessments, diagnoses, or clinical measures, and they are not a substitute for professional care. We classify wellness data as sensitive and apply additional protections.
-
Child information entered in structured profile fields stays on your device (encrypted locally) and is not transmitted to MomEaze servers, shared with third parties, sold, or used to train AI models. If you mention your child in an AI conversation, that text is processed by our AI provider. To keep child information fully on-device, use the child profile fields rather than AI chat.
-
We may generate topic tags (like “sleep schedule” or “meal planning”) from AI interactions. These are classified as personal information, not de-identified data, and are subject to your access and deletion rights.
-
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not display third-party advertising or track you across other companies’ apps or websites. If that ever changes, we will request permission and update this Policy.
-
Data stored by MomEaze may be subject to legal process, including subpoenas in criminal and civil proceedings. We will produce only the minimum data required and will attempt to notify you unless prohibited by law.
-
AI personalization uses your profile, preferences, and usage patterns to improve relevance. You can reset or disable personalization in the App settings.
-
We use analytics and diagnostics to improve reliability and usability — not for advertising.
-
We do not use your personal messages or family information to train AI models. If this ever changes, we will provide clear notice and obtain consent.
-
Disputes are subject to a mandatory notice-and-resolution process described in our Terms of Service, including individual arbitration and a class-action waiver.
-

This Privacy Policy explains how MomEaze (“MomEaze,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information about you when you use the MomEaze mobile application on iOS and Android and the related services we provide (together, the “App”). It is designed to meet transparency expectations under U.S. privacy laws (including California’s CCPA/CPRA where applicable) and follows GDPR-aligned principles for international users.
MomEaze believes privacy is part of care. We design our technology to support moms, not surveil them. Every data practice described below exists to provide or improve the App’s features for you. Where a practice could be misunderstood, we explain why it exists and what it does not do.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to the MomEaze mobile application (iOS and Android) and the related services we provide, including customer support, emails related to your account, and any websites or features that link to this Policy. It does not apply to third-party services that may be linked from or connected to the App; those services are governed by their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them before connecting.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in the categories below. Some is provided by you, some is collected automatically, and some is generated by our systems (for example, scores or tags). We collect only what we need to provide and improve the App.
A. Account and Profile Information
When you create and use a MomEaze account, we may collect your user ID, email address, display name, date of birth, timezone, preferred language, motherhood stage, work situation, and subscription tier and status. We use this to create and secure your account, provide core features, personalize planning and AI support, tailor reminders, and manage subscriptions.
B. Family Context (Optional)
If you choose to add family information, we may collect a family identifier, household structure, cultural context, income level (if provided), member count, and family member details you enable (such as relationship, interests, and challenges). We use this to help the App plan realistically around your family life and tailor recommendations.
C. Onboarding Data (Including Pre-Account Data)
If you begin onboarding — even if you do not complete it — we may collect limited information such as the email you entered, your current onboarding step, steps completed, time spent per step, and abandonment status. We use this to improve the signup experience and reduce friction.
Pre-account onboarding data is retained for up to 90 days and then automatically deleted. We do not assign conversion-likelihood scores or similar profiling metrics until after you have accepted this Policy. By proceeding past the first screen of the onboarding flow, you acknowledge this limited data collection. If you do not complete onboarding and would like your data deleted sooner, contact us at privacy@momeazeapp.com.
D. Device Permissions
MomEaze may request access to certain device features — for example, notifications, calendar, photos, camera, or microphone — to provide a feature you enable. You can grant, deny, or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings. We access only the information necessary to provide the enabled feature.
E. Location Data
If you enable the weather feature, we may collect your approximate location (city-level) to provide local weather information. We do not track precise GPS location and do not store location history. You may also enter a zip code or city manually to use the weather feature without enabling device location access.
F. Third-Party Sources
We may receive limited information from third parties you choose to use with MomEaze (for example, Apple or Google sign-in providers, or subscription platforms) such as a unique account identifier, email address, and basic profile information needed to create or secure your account. We use this information only for account and subscription functionality. We do not collect publicly available personal information about you from external sources unless required for security or fraud prevention.
G. Log and Usage Data
We may collect device and usage information such as device type, operating system version, app version, session duration, feature usage, and diagnostic events (like crash reports) to maintain reliability, improve performance, and protect against misuse.
H. Analytics and Diagnostics
We use analytics and diagnostic tools (including SDKs) to understand App performance and improve reliability. These tools collect usage and device diagnostics — for example, session duration, feature usage, and crash events — and are not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising. Where available, you can control analytics and diagnostics in the App’s privacy settings and in your device settings.
I. Monetization and Commerce
If you use paid features, we may collect subscription tier and status, renewal dates, plan selections, purchase history, and content interaction data (such as whether you viewed or completed purchased content). If booking or referral features become available, we may collect related details. We use this to provide purchases and subscriptions, deliver paid content, and support billing and customer service.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to provide and operate the App and its features; create and manage your account and subscriptions; personalize planning, reminders, and AI support; improve reliability, performance, and user experience; provide customer support; maintain security, prevent fraud and misuse, and enforce our policies; and comply with legal obligations.
Where applicable, our legal bases for processing include contractual necessity (providing the App you signed up for), legitimate interests (improving the App, preventing misuse), legal compliance, and consent where required. Our legitimate interests include improving App reliability, preventing fraud and misuse, and understanding user needs. We balance these interests against your privacy expectations and only process data where we reasonably expect benefits to outweigh privacy impact.
MomEaze does not use your personal messages or family information to train AI models. If this ever changes, we will provide clear notice and obtain your consent where required before doing so.
4. AI Features and Your Data
A. How AI Conversations Are Processed
When you use AI features, MomEaze sends the messages you type to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. We do not store the text content of your AI messages on MomEaze servers after the response is delivered, except for limited temporary technical logs strictly necessary for reliability and security. These temporary logs are retained for no more than 90 days and contain the minimum information needed for troubleshooting; they do not contain the full text of your conversations.
B. Third-Party AI Provider
Your AI messages are processed by a third-party provider. We contractually require the provider not to retain your message content beyond a short safety-review window and not to use your content to train its models. However, we do not control the provider’s internal compliance or abuse-monitoring obligations. The provider may retain limited data for a brief period as required by its own safety and legal obligations.
You can review the provider’s own privacy policy at the link provided in the App settings or help center.
What this means in practice: We have taken contractual steps to minimize how long your messages exist anywhere. MomEaze does not keep them. We require our provider not to keep them beyond a short window. But because we cannot control every aspect of a third party’s internal operations, we want you to understand the full picture rather than oversimplify it.
C. AI Personalization
MomEaze’s AI features use your profile information, stated preferences, and usage patterns to provide more relevant and contextually helpful responses over time. This personalization is designed to improve the usefulness of the App — not to influence your behavior, exploit emotional vulnerability, or maximize engagement for its own sake.
The App uses specialized response orientations (for example, task-focused, emotionally supportive, or relationship-aware) to adapt how the AI responds depending on the context of your request. These orientations are not clinical personas, and they do not provide medical, therapeutic, or diagnostic services.
You can reset your AI personalization data or disable personalization entirely in the App settings at any time.
D. AI Operational Metadata
We may store non-content metadata about AI usage — for example, conversation type, message count, token usage and cost, and the AI model used — to manage reliability, performance, safety, and operational costs. This metadata does not include the text content of your AI messages.
E. Free-Text Content You Choose to Share
AI conversations may contain any information you choose to include, including information about yourself and your family members. The local-storage protections described in Section 6(A) apply to structured child profile fields, not to the content of AI messages. Please see Section 6(B) for more detail.
5. Wellness Data
MomEaze includes optional wellness check-ins — a small number of questions designed to help you notice patterns in how you are feeling over time. We classify the information generated by these check-ins (including any wellness or stress indicators reflected by your inputs) as sensitive personal information and apply additional protections to it, including restricted internal access and heightened security controls.
Not a medical tool. Wellness scores and check-ins are for personal self-reflection only. They are not medical assessments, diagnoses, clinical measures, or substitutes for professional mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health concern, please consult a qualified healthcare provider. MomEaze does not practice healthcare, and nothing in the App should be interpreted as a clinical evaluation or recommendation.
We restrict access to wellness data to data analysts, encrypt it, do not use it for AI training, and delete it immediately upon request.
You can opt out of wellness check-ins at any time in your App settings. If you opt out, we will stop generating new wellness data and will delete your existing wellness data upon request.
6. Children’s Information
MomEaze is intended for adult caregivers and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
A. Structured Child Profile Fields
If you enter information about your child in the App’s dedicated child profile fields, that information is stored only on your device, encrypted locally, not transmitted to MomEaze servers, not shared with third parties, not sold, and not used to train AI models. It remains under your control.
If you delete the App or your account, locally stored child data is removed along with the App’s local data from your device.
Recovery of the data stored locally on your device is not possible for MomEaze.
B. Child Information in AI Conversations
Important distinction. The local-storage commitment in Section 6(A) applies to child information entered in the App’s structured child profile fields. If you mention your child by name, or share details about your child, in an AI conversation, that text is sent to our AI provider to generate a response. We do not store AI message content on our servers, but the text is transmitted for processing as described in Section 4. To keep child information fully on-device, use the child profile fields rather than AI chat.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, contact us at privacy@momeazeapp.com and we will take steps to delete it.
7. Derived Topic Tags and Aggregated Data
A. Topic Tags
MomEaze may generate high-level topic tags from AI interactions (for example, “sleep schedule,” “meal planning,” or “returning to work”) to improve the App experience and understand which areas users commonly need help with. These tags are generated without storing the underlying message text on our servers.
We classify topic tags as derived personal information, not de-identified data, because they may be associated with your account. They are subject to your access and deletion rights described in Section 12. If you request deletion of your data, your topic tags will be deleted along with your other personal information.
B. Aggregated and De-Identified Data
We may create aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you — for example, statistics about how many users ask about a given topic, or aggregate performance metrics. We do not attempt to re-identify de-identified information. If we combine de-identified information with personal information in a way that could identify you, we treat the combined data as personal information under this Policy.
We may share aggregated or de-identified data for research, analytics, or business intelligence, consistent with applicable law. Where available, you can opt out of certain analytics through in-app privacy settings.
8. Disclosure of Information
A. No Sale, No Advertising Sharing
MomEaze does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising across other companies’ apps or websites.
B. Service Providers
We use vendors to help operate the App, including cloud hosting, analytics and diagnostics, customer support tools, and payment and subscription processors. We require service providers to (1) use information only to provide services to MomEaze, (2) implement appropriate security safeguards, (3) restrict access to authorized personnel, (4) not sell or use information for their own marketing, and (5) delete or return information when it is no longer needed for the service.

C. Legal and Safety
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful legal process (such as a subpoena or court order), protect the safety of any person, or protect the rights, safety, and security of MomEaze. Where legally permitted, we will attempt to notify you before disclosing your information in response to legal process. See Section 13 for more detail.
D. Business Transfers
If MomEaze is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any acquiring entity must either (a) honor this Policy as it existed when your data was collected, or (b) obtain your affirmative consent before applying materially different practices to your existing data. We will notify you of any such transfer before it takes effect.
E. Shared Visibility (Family and Household Features)
If you join or create a family or household space, or share items with other users, those authorized members can view the items you share (for example, shared plans, tasks, reminders, schedules, and notes). Items you do not share remain private to your account.
If you share information with other users, those users may copy, export, screenshot, or otherwise retain that information outside of MomEaze. We cannot control how others use information once it has been shared.
F. Organizational Accounts
If MomEaze introduces team, family, or organizational accounts in the future, administrators of those accounts may be able to view shared information necessary to provide those features. We will update this Policy before introducing any such feature.
9. Tracking and Advertising
MomEaze does not display third-party advertising and does not use personal data for targeted advertising. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes.
If we ever introduce advertising or engage in “tracking” as defined by Apple (for example, linking your data with third-party data for targeted advertising or sharing identifiers with ad networks), we will request permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt where required, update our App Store privacy disclosures, and update this Policy before those changes take effect.
10. Data Storage, Transfers, and Retention
A. Storage and Transfers
MomEaze primarily processes and stores information in the United States. Some service providers may process limited information in other countries where they operate. These providers are contractually required to protect information and use it only to provide services to MomEaze.
B. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy. Our typical retention periods are:
Account information: While your account is active and up to 30 days after deletion to support backup restoration. Onboarding analytics (including pre-account data): Up to 90 days, then automatically deleted. Temporary technical logs: 90 days. Subscription and billing records: As required by applicable accounting and tax laws. Aggregated or de-identified data: May be retained indefinitely because it cannot reasonably identify you.
When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Some information may remain in encrypted backups for 30 days before being permanently deleted. We may also retain information as required by law — for example, to comply with tax, accounting, or legal-hold obligations.
11. Security
We implement technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include encryption in transit and at rest (or comparable protections for stored data), access controls based on the principle of least privilege, confidentiality obligations for personnel with access, monitoring and logging of access to sensitive systems, and incident response procedures.
We maintain procedures to detect, investigate, and respond to suspected security incidents. Where required by law, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities of a breach involving personal information.
We will notify affected users and authorities without unreasonable delay, and in any event within 30 days of discovering the breach, consistent with applicable law.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We work to reduce risk and protect your data, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Your Rights and Choices
A. Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information; opt out of certain processing (including the sale or sharing of personal information, if applicable); and request information about our data practices. California residents may use the in-app “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” option where applicable.
To exercise a right, contact us at privacy@momeazeapp.com or use in-app controls where available. We may verify your identity before processing your request to protect your data. We aim to respond within 30 days (or the applicable legal timeline). If we need additional time, we will let you know.
B. Appeals
If we deny a privacy request, we will explain why. You may appeal our decision by contacting privacy@momeazeapp.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will review your appeal and respond within 30 days.
C. Authorized Agents
You may authorize an agent to submit a privacy request on your behalf, subject to verification of both your identity and the agent’s authorization.
D. Complaints
If you have questions or concerns about our privacy practices, contact us at privacy@momeazeapp.com. We will review and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to contact your state attorney general or applicable privacy regulator.
E. In-App Controls
MomEaze provides privacy controls in the App settings, including notification preferences, analytics and diagnostics controls (where available), wellness check-in opt-out, AI personalization reset and disable options, and account deletion. You can also manage device permissions through your device settings.
F. Marketing Communications
If we send marketing communications, you can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message or by adjusting your communication preferences in the App. We may still send non-marketing messages necessary to provide the App — for example, security alerts, receipts, or service updates.
G. Non-Discrimination
We do not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. Exercising your rights will not affect the quality of service you receive, your pricing, or your access to the App’s features.
13. Legal Proceedings and Discoverability
Data stored by MomEaze — including account information, wellness data, task-completion records, topic tags, and AI operational metadata — may be subject to legal process, including subpoenas, court orders, or discovery requests in civil proceedings.
What this means for you: In certain legal proceedings (including divorce and custody cases), a party may seek access to data you have stored in or generated through the App. If we receive a lawful request, we are required to comply. We will produce only the minimum data legally required, and we will attempt to notify you before producing your data unless we are prohibited from doing so by law or court order.
We encourage you to consider what information you enter any digital tool if you are involved in or anticipate legal proceedings. If you have questions about how your data might be affected, we recommend consulting with a qualified attorney.
14. Safety Considerations
If you or someone you know is in an unsafe situation: If you are in a domestic violence or safety-sensitive situation, please be aware that shared family features may make some information visible to other members of your household. You can control sharing in your App settings. If you need to use MomEaze privately, consider using a personal (non-shared) account. For safety resources, contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or thehotline.org.
MomEaze is designed to support mothers in managing daily life. We are not a crisis service. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please contact emergency services or a qualified professional.
15. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the App evolves. If changes are material, we will notify you in the App and by email before they take effect and update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of a revised Policy constitutes acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with a material change, you may delete your account.
16. Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute related to this Policy or the App, it is subject to the mandatory notice-and-resolution process, individual arbitration agreement, and class-action waiver described in our Terms of Service. We encourage you to read those provisions carefully, as they affect your legal rights — including your right to file a lawsuit and your right to participate in a class action.
Key elements of the dispute process include a mandatory written notice before any legal action, a cure period during which we investigate and attempt to resolve the issue, binding individual arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act, a waiver of class-action and representative-action claims, and a limitation on recoverable damages. The full terms are in the Terms of Service. This Policy and the Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
17. Contact
