What we are working toward.

Momeaze is a young company. There is no foundation, no grant program and no number to put on this page yet. What there is, is a clear intention and a reason for it, so here it is in plain language instead of a press release.

Why this matters to us

Momeaze exists because mothers carry an enormous amount that nobody else can see. That is the whole company. But plenty of mothers are carrying all of that and something harder underneath it: a month where the rent and the childcare cannot both happen, a car that died the week the shifts got cut, a move that has to happen quickly.

An app does not touch any of that. We are clear-eyed about it. A calendar that thinks ahead is a real help to a mother who is stretched and a small irrelevance to a mother who is drowning. If this company works, we want some of what it earns to reach her too.

What we intend to do

When Momeaze can genuinely afford it, a share of what mothers pay us goes back to mothers who are struggling. As money, not as a discount or a free subscription, and given through organisations that already support women in crisis rather than through a program we invent ourselves.

We are deliberately not putting a figure on that today. A percentage published before it can be paid is marketing, and this is not meant to be marketing.

What has to be true first

Three things, none of them decorative. This is the actual list we are working down.

Enough mothers paying for Full Support

A share of a small number is a gesture. We would rather wait until it is a real amount of money than announce something symbolic.

A partner who has said yes

Organisations already doing this work know how to reach mothers in crisis and how to protect them. We want to fund people who are good at it, not invent our own version.

Advice on doing it properly

Money given directly to someone is income, and can carry a tax bill. Getting that wrong would hand a mother a problem in the month she could least handle one.

What we will not do

The easiest thing in the world is to write a warm paragraph about giving back and leave it there. These are the specific ways we have decided not to do that.

  • Put a percentage on this page before we can honour it.
  • Name an organisation before they have agreed to it.
  • Describe this as something we are doing while it is still something we intend to do.
  • Ask a mother to hand us her circumstances to qualify for help.

How you will know it is real

This page changes. When there is a share, it will say the share. When there is a partner, it will name them. When grants have been made, it will say how many and how much, once a year, here.

And if a year goes by and none of that has happened, this page will still be here saying we are working toward it. That is the version of this we can promise today, and we would rather be held to a small honest thing than a large vague one.

If you work at an organisation that supports mothers in hardship and this sounds like something worth talking about, we would genuinely like to hear from you: hello@momeazeapp.com.
