You are handing us your calendar, your kids' names and the shape of your week. This page explains, in plain language, what we do with that. Everything here matches our Privacy Policy. Where the policy is more specific, the policy governs.
What we collect, and why.
Only what the app needs to be useful to you, and only what you give it or connect to it.
Your account and profile
Name, email, and the preferences you set. This is what makes the app yours rather than generic.
Your family
Parent-managed profiles for your children. Name, date of birth, relationship, a color tag, an optional photo, care arrangement, grade level, school or daycare name, and the schedule that goes with it.
We will say the uncomfortable part out loud, because our Privacy Policy does: a school name plus attendance days plus pickup times can reveal where a child is at a given moment. That is why this information is treated carefully, stays in the United States, and is never sold.
Children do not have their own Momeaze accounts. The app is not intended for children under 13.
What you connect
Calendars you link, and events from them. Photos or flyers you choose to scan so an event can be created without typing it.
What you tell Mayla
Chat history and voice transcripts when you use voice. Wellness check-in answers, if you choose to do them.
How the app is performing
First-party analytics only, plus error monitoring through Sentry, which includes a sample of roughly 10% of mobile sessions for diagnosing crashes. No advertising SDKs in the app, and nothing from the app is ever used for ads.
This website, separately from the app
We count page views and where visitors arrived from, so we know whether this site is doing its job. That counting is run by Vercel, who host this website, and it sets no cookies.
We also use the Meta Pixel on most pages, so we can measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and show Momeaze ads to people who have visited. It sets a cookie, it never sees what you type into a form, and it does not load on our blog, legal pages or contact page. You can turn it off on Your Privacy Choices, and if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal it stays off automatically.
None of this touches your Momeaze account or anything in the app.
How your information is protected.
These are the specific, documented protections. We have deliberately not used words like “military-grade” or “bank-level” anywhere, because those phrases mean nothing and we would rather tell you exactly what is true.
Calendar credentials
Calendar refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Apple credentials are protected with RSA encryption.
Session tokens
Our own refresh tokens are stored as cryptographic hashes rather than in readable form.
Payment details
We do not store your card number. Subscriptions run through the App Store and Google Play.
Where it lives
United States only. Primary region AWS us-east-1, with US-only backup replication. No sub-processors outside the United States.
How the AI actually works.
Momeaze uses AI and we are not going to be coy about it. Here is what that means in practice.
What Mayla can and cannot see
She sees your profile, your goals, your calendar events, your chat history, your voice transcripts and images you upload, including photos of your children if you scan a flyer with one in it.
She does not listen to your conversations. There is no ambient microphone. Everything she knows came from something you typed, said, connected or scanned.
Who else processes it
Delivering AI features means sending content to our own AI service and, through it, to third-party model and OCR providers under contract. The model providers are OpenAI, Anthropic and Google. Those contracts prohibit them from using your content to train, fine-tune, evaluate or benchmark their own models.
It can be wrong
AI output can be incomplete, mistaken or simply made up. Mayla suggests, she does not decide. Nothing she produces is medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice, and AI features cannot call emergency services.

What you control
You decide what Mayla knows. Delete a child’s profile anytime in the app, and ask us for a copy of your data or to delete it whenever you want. You choose which calendars to connect and can disconnect them.
Selling, sharing and advertising.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
Nothing from the Momeaze app is shared for advertising. The app runs no advertising SDKs.
Our website uses the Meta Pixel to measure and show Momeaze ads. Some state laws call that “sharing.” You can opt out anytime on Your Privacy Choices.
We honor Global Privacy Control signals.
How long we keep it, how to get it out.
When you close your account, your data is kept through a 30-day grace period in case you come back. After that it is purged from our production systems within 60 days, and from encrypted backups within 180 days.
You do not have to close your account to get your data. You can request access, a copy, a correction, or deletion at any time.
